Benfica won the second Intercontinental Rink Hockey Cup of their history by beating Reus 5-3 in the final.
To discuss the title in the rival's field, SL Benfica went into the half lo losing by 0-1, in the second half took the lead thanks to the goals of Jordi Adroher (4) and Válter Neves.
In the semi-finals, Benfica and Reus had beaten the Argentines Andes Talleres and Concepción by 7-4 and 7-5 (a.p.), respectively.
With this triumph, Benfica becomes the second team with more trophies (2013 and 2017) in this competition, being only surpassed by Barcelona and Hockey Club Liceo, both with five.
Portugal Hoquei de Barcelos also won this event in 1992.
