American forward/center Schaquilla Nunn (often referred to as Shaquilla) first joined the Benfica women's basketball team on November 28, 2025. She signed mid-season to reinforce the squad and went on to win the Portuguese League MVP. [

Following a brief stint in the United States playing for the Charlotte Crown in the UPSHOT League over the summer, her return to Europe to play for Benfica for the 2026/27 season was officially announced in late August 2026.
