The Under-16 National Team faced and won on Saturday, his French counterpart semi-final of the Montaigu International Tournament. The commanded Philip Ramos managed to give back to the result twice and took the match to penalty kicks.

After two wins on consecutive days ( 3-0 , with the UAE, and 1-0 , before the United States), the Team of Quinas had only one day of rest before the game with the Gallic training, but this does not was crucial to the Lusitanian view.

The Gallic advanced training in the bullet early in the match and during the 24 minutes, Neal Maupay, extended their advantage to 2-0. However, the response team was quick and the Quinas 2-1 Diogo was signed by David the next minute. In the second half, Postiga, brought some encouragement to the formation lusa to tie the game.

Despite the confidence and good display of controlled Philip Ramos, the formation Gallic said again the marker at 65 minutes and Sergio Ribeiro, already after the regular time, made the 3-3.

Work towards the sweater
at the end of the meeting, to make an assessment of the provision lusa, National Coach, Philip Ramos, praised the coolness and intelligence that their pupils showed against France.

"I'm clearly proud of my team, because he could give back to the result by two times and had cold enough to know score those key penalties. We knew what difficulties they could find, but I think the answer was obvious that more positive can give, because it is not easy to get around the more the result twice. Then, the penalties are always a lottery, so besides the bit of luck we all need, I think our players have the intelligence to select "he said.

Pleased to have reached the final and have eliminated the host team of the tournament, the coach believes the Luso unity and understanding among all team members have been key to success in this tournament. "The difficulties that we have passed, have joined the team, helped us create a stronger team spirit and gave us bags to eliminate the host of the event, which has been present in almost all the final proof. They are all to be congratulated, because they worked on behalf of all who wear sweater and deserve to have gotten to where they came. I have to emphasize also the strength of the players who do not enter at first, but they have equal capacity to maintain the quality of the team and the game. This proves the quality of these players and reflects the unity that exists among all, resulting in a greater understanding on the pitch, "he concluded.
