A Seleção Nacional/Liberty Seguros vai representar Portugal no Campeonato do Mundo de Estrada, em Ponferrada, Espanha, de 21 a 28 de setembro, com 14 corredores. 

Os rankings de apuramento de elite e de sub-23 fecharam na última sexta-feira, mas a distribuição de corredores por pais só hoje foi divulgada pela União Ciclista Internacional. Na categoria de elite, Portugal vai estar representado por seis corredores, contra os três de 2013 e os quatro de 2012. A Seleção Nacional/Liberty Seguros de sub-23 será composta por quatro ciclistas. Em 2013 esteve presente apenas um e em 2012 não se qualificaram sub-23 portugueses. 

Foram apurados seis corredores de elite pela classificação de Portugal no Ranking Continental Europeu – sexto lugar, expurgadas as nações que se apuraram via WorldTour.
