The Spanish newspaper 'Marca' reveals this Monday that João Félix will undergo surgery on his ankle next Thursday, in Porto. The Portuguese player for Atlético Madrid - who yesterday took to the field to face Belgium, in the game that dictated Portugal's departure from the European Championship - has been complaining about the articulation for several months.
The recovery time is expected to be two months, so the striker could be ready for the start of the season in Spain.
The injury was suffered in one of the Champions League games against Bayern Munich and was later complicated in other matches in the Spanish league.
With the end of the Portuguese participation in Euro'2020, the player and the doctors understood that this is the right time to undergo surgery and thus solve the problem once and for all, so that he can start the season in full, without the pains that limited him this season.
