Kazakh Astana leads the list of six more World Tour teams that have already confirmed their presence in the 2022 edition of the Volta ao Algarve, informed, this Tuesday, the Portuguese Cycling Federation.
Astana returns to the Algarve competition and may bring the Colombian Miguel Ángel López, third in 2020. The Kazakh team has already won the Portuguese competition twice, with the Spaniard Alberto Contador wearing the yellow jersey in 2009 and 2010.
The 48th Volta ao Algarve will take place between the 16th and 22nd of February, and will have five stages: two stages for sprinters, two with a mountain final and an individual time trial
