Viktoriya Borshchenko is 36 years old, he is universal – he can play both left-back and centre-back – and is the top scorer in the entire history of the Ukraine national team, which he left three seasons ago as team captain. "I played for 11 years in Russia, and this current situation that we are experiencing was very difficult for me, having to leave my previous team. We had a good team, we were playing in the Champions League, but life has changed and now I'm happy for to be at Benfica. The people are nice and it will be a new step in my career. I hope to win more trophies", concluded the Ukrainian international.
