The 18-year-old is named as the next Portuguese player to make it to the NBA
Regarded as the most promising player after Neemias Queta, the first Portuguese to reach the NBA, Rúben Prey, 18, seems to have a definite future, heading to the United States to represent the University of St. John, headquartered in New York.
Formed in Paço de Arcos and CA Queluz, Prey has been in Spain since 2020/21, evolving at Joventut de Badalona. This season for the Catalans, the Portuguese giant was crowned two-time Spanish under-18 champion and represented them in the Finals of the Adidas Next Generation Tournament, held in the line-up of the final four of the Euroleague.
