Schaquilla Nunn, a 31-year-old American center (07/07/1994), is the newest addition to Benfica's women's basketball team. Coming from 1KS Sleza Wroclaw (Poland), the athlete signed a contract until the end of the season, and the arrival of another player was expected, given that the roster was not yet fully complete. In her first words wearing the Benfica jersey, she explained that she met coach Eugénio Rodrigues, as well as team manager Sofia Ramalho, with whom she had a "long conversation" for about 45 minutes. Schaquilla Nunn is a professional basketball player born on July 7, 1994, in Fayetteville, Georgia. She attended the University of Tennessee, where she played for the Lady Vols, earning recognition for her performance, including being named All-Big South Defensive Player of the Year in 2014-15. Nunn was drafted by the San Antonio Stars in the 3rd round of the 2017 WNBA Draft. She has played in various leagues, including the WNBA and Polish OBLK, and has a strong record for her contributions on the court, including multiple double-doubles and significant rebounds.
