He was nominated for the prestigious European Golden Boy award as one of the standout young talents in world football. Prestianni came up through the youth ranks at Vélez Sarsfield in Argentina before transferring to Portuguese giants Benfica.
Gianluca Prestianni is under contract with Portuguese club Benfica until June 30, 2029. He signed a 5-year deal upon transferring from Argentine side Vélez Sarsfield, which includes a release clause reportedly set at €100 million.
