At the 2026 Giro d'Italia, the rider leading the General Classification and wearing the pink jersey (Maglia Rosa) receives a prize of €2,000 for each day they hold the jersey. 
The total prize fund for the Giro d'Italia is €1.63 million, with prize money distributed as follows: 
  • Daily Pink Jersey: €2,000 per stage for the wearer.
  • Overall Race Winner: The overall winner in Rome takes home a grand prize of €265,668.

Nelson Oliveira will be at the Giro for the fourth time, with the Portuguese cyclist with more presence in big  Tours to be part of the Movistar squad that will support veteran Enric Mas, the Spanish team announced.
