Benfica have recently signed Jhon Durán, and the Colombian forward will be a reinforcement for Marco Silva's squad on a season-long loan deal from Al Nassr. The business contemplates a non-compulsory buyout option and the player’s salary, very high (€20M/year) for the eagles, will be drastically reduced and shared by the Saudi club.
Jhon Durán paid €77m for Al Nassr in January 2025, after standing out in the Premier League for Aston Villa, but had just his season at Cristiano Ronaldo and João Felix's club. In the second half of 2024/25, he scored 12 goals in 18 games, being, last season, loaned to Fenerbahce, until January, and Zenit, Russia, until the end of the season.
