Gustavo Goni, manager of Lisandro López, confirmed that the Argentine defender renewed his contract with Benfica, staying connected to the club until June 2021.
"He's fine, very happy, I've never seen him so happy. Lisandro loves Benfica and this renewal of contract will give him greater peace of mind to fight for a place in the team, to get his space, "said Gustavo Goni, in declarations to the Renaissance.
The manager assured, however, that the new contract was made well before the match with FC Porto, in which Lisandro scored the equalizer for Benfica.
