#Golf #Golfe #Portugal Open to return to the #European Tour in 2017 takes place between May 11 and 13th

The Portuguese golf Open will return in 2017 after seven years and will be part of the European Tour calendar, the European organization announced this Tuesday, which announced the tournaments program for next year.

The tournament will take place between May 11 and 13 at the Morgado Golf Resort in Portimão, after the Penha Longa field in Sintra, hosted the last edition in 2010.

With the maintenance of Portugal Masters, which takes place at Oceânico Victoria, in Vilamoura, also in the Algarve, from September 21 to 24, there will be two Portuguese tournaments among the 48 that, at least, constitute the main European circuit in 2017.

"The 2017 season promises to be very significant for the European Tour, with the start of the Rolex Series and the return of three events in Portugal, Sicily and Spain and at least one more tournament to be confirmed soon," said the general manager Of the circuit, Keith Pelley.

The Rolex Series is an association of some of the major tournaments on the circuit, with a prize money of at least seven million dollars, including the BMW PGA Championship in England (25-28 May), the Irish Open (6 (July 13-16), the Italian Open (12-15 October), the Turkey Open (2-5 November), the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa (9 -12 November 12) and the World Tour Championship in Dubai, which closes the season between 16-19).
