Benfica have confirmed their UEFA Europa League first-round qualifying rounds by beating midfielder Midtjylland on penalties (6-5) after a 1-1 draw at the end of regular time.
Diogo Gonçalves put the Benfica team in front of the scoreboard, in the 42nd minute, an advantage that remained until the minute 84 when Torp scored a free-kick, which resulted in the expulsion of Florentino.
Even reduced to ten players, Benfica held the equalizer until the penalties, where Diogo Gonçalves returned to be decisive when scoring the decisive goal.
Buta, José Gomes, Diogo Mendes, Gedson Fernandes and Rúben Dias also did not fail, Pedro Álvaro was the only one to miss the eleven meter line.
