The oldest of these three newcomers, even if only for a few days, were all born in October of 1997, Francisco Campos is probably the most experienced of all.
The Miranda-Mortágua rider was the national Under-23 champion in 2017, he was in the Europeans and the Tour d'Avenir, among other tests, but he still admits that "there is always that little nervous one."
"We are aware that we are in the Tour de Portugal, we are quite new, but we have some quality, we aim to dignify our colors and show that we are more in the squad, but to show a lot of what our team is," he said.
Francisco Campos admits that "he liked to make a place in the top 10" but he has "his feet on the ground" and wants to wait for what the road is going to give.
The Tour of Portugal begins this Wednesday in Setúbal and ends on August 12 in Fafe.
