Unforgettable will be the debut of Gonçalo Leaça, because it will be for the young man from LA-Alumínios, two days older than André Carvalho, to inaugurate today the 80th edition of the Volta a Portugal.
The dorsal 182 will be the first of the 131 riders in the race to leave for the road to cover the 1.8 kilometers of the prologue in Setúbal.
"I was very happy, it is gratifying to be the first and I will try my best," he said.
Gonçalo Leaça believes that "there is a nervousness that is normal," because it will be his first Tour of Portugal.
"The goal will be to make the best possible place overall and try to discuss some intermediate ranking, such as the mountain or so, as well as trying to get on the run to show the sponsor," he said.
