Permanent sale of the right-back with sharing of the pass
Benfica agreed with Rio Ave the permanent transfer of João Tomé, a 21-year-old right-back who competed last season in League 2 for the Reds' B team. According to what we learned, the defender is heading to Vila do Conde in a deal that involves sharing the pass, with Benfica maintaining 50 percent of the economic rights to the player.

João Tomé did all the training with the Eagles, since 2011/2012. Last season he played in 31 games, with three assists for goals. He was a junior champion, champion of the UEFA Youth League in 2021/2022 and the under-20 Intercontinental in 2022.
