Susana Santos ran the Valencia Marathon today, finishing in 13th place, with a time of 2h24m46s, a personal best.

The athlete from Recreio de Águeda, who a week ago was seventh in the National Cross Country, performed very well in the Valencia Marathon, setting a new personal best, becoming the third best Portuguese athlete of all time, behind record holder Rosa Mota (2:23.29) and Jessica Augusto (2:24.25).

In the same competition, Luís Miguel Borges, from Sporting de Braga (2h12m39s), and João Almeida, from Recreio de Águeda (2H13m32s), made their debut at the distance, with auspicious results.
