Ivorian defender Emmanuel Agbadou will join Wolverhampton Wanderers, the first signing since the arrival of Portuguese coach Vítor Pereira, the Premier League club announced on Thursday.
According to Wolves, Agbadou, 27, who has been capped 11 times by Ivory Coast, has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with an option for a further year.
After starting his career with Ivorian side San-Pédro, Agbadou moved on to Tunisian side Monastirienne before arriving in Europe to play for Belgian side Eupen and then French side Reims, of whom he was captain.
Wolverhampton sit 17th in the Premier League, the first team above the relegation zone, with the club having recorded two wins, one draw and one defeat since Vítor Pereira's arrival.

Vítor Pereira is getting closer and closer to becoming the new coach of Wolverhampton. According to Record, the Portuguese coach should be officially appointed to the English club - currently 19th and second-to-last in the Premier League with 9 points - this Monday or, at the latest, tomorrow morning.
The current coach of Saudi Arabia's Al-Shabab (he took over in February) had renewed his contract in June for another season, but according to Sky News yesterday, Wolves are willing to pay the Portuguese coach's release clause.
