This Sunday, March 29th, at the Guarda Municipal Swimming Pools, the Benfica women's water polo team defeated their counterparts from CA Pacense, 24-6, in the final of the Portuguese Cup, winning the competition for the 8th time in their history and for the 4th year in a row.

The Benfica women's water polo team is preparing for a high-level challenge in the Portuguese Cup final four, with the semi-final against Clube Fluvial Portuense scheduled for 2 pm this Saturday, March 28th, at the Guarda Municipal Swimming Pools. In a duel between great rivals in the sport, the main strategic guidelines involve concentration and responsiveness, with a view to reaching the final, scheduled for Sunday, March 29th.
Water Polo News Portugal Women National Team
The Portuguese Women's National Water Polo Team will hold a training camp in Lisbon on April 12th, as part of the 2026 High Performance Plan, in preparation for the World Cup (Division 2), which will take place in Malta from April 21st to 26th.
For this camp, national coach Ferran Pascual has called up a wide range of 19 players, a group that mixes experience and youth, as was the case in the last European Championship held earlier this year in Funchal – where Portugal finished in 12th place.
