A bonus point in rugby union is an extra point added to a team’s league table total (beyond the standard 4 for a win or 2 for a draw) designed to reward attacking play and competitiveness. Teams generally earn them by scoring four or more tries or by losing by seven points or fewer.

Benfica hosts GD Direito at 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 12, at the Campo de Honra within the Lisbon University Stadium, in a match marking the 6th round of the Title Group in the National Rugby Division of Honor Championship. The top two teams—separated by a mere point—will face off in a duel open to the public with free admission.
In a BTV pre-match preview, António Aguilar highlighted the difficulty posed by their opponent and the growth of the *Encarnados* squad, anticipating a game quite different from the one played in the first round.

"Direito is a very tough team. They are our direct rivals right now—sitting just one point behind us—so the margin is extremely slim. The previous match took place in winter, amidst rain and on a heavy pitch, and we adapted well. Now, we will be playing on a faster surface. Our team has evolved; it has matured, and we hope to sustain this growth in what promises to be a hard-fought match," he said.
