Tiago Violas signed to stay at Benfica going on the 11th season

Sport Lisbon and Benfica have announced that they have signed volleyball coach Sakis Psarras 53 yrs old for the next two seasons.
A native of Athens, the coach has 10 years of experience in Greece, where there is a great rivalry between clubs, such as the cases of Olympiacos, Panathinaikos or PAOK. Sakis Psarras began his journey as coach at OFPF Ethnikós in 2016/17, a club that placed in the top flight after becoming champion of the A2 League, continuing his career during the following season at PAOK.
Over the past 6 seasons, the coach has transformed AONS Milon into one of his country's top mole teams, including a historic first appearance in the CEV Cup. Last season (2025/26), Sakis Psarras led the team to second place in the regular phase of the main Championship of Greece – a point behind leaders Panathinaikos – and then reached the semi-finals of the play-offs. In the European CEV Cup trial, in 2024/25, the coach levou the Greek team to the quarter-finals.
