The International Autodromo do Algarve has renewed the maximum homologation of Grade 1 by the International Automobile Federation, a situation that allows to be qualified to receive Formula 1 events.
The last time Formula 1 passed through Portugal dates back to 1996, then at the Estoril Autodrome.
