João Brandão's team are in the quarter-finals of the Youth League after defeating Red Bull Salzburg 3-1 at Olival.

The Austrians, the champions in title, had recently eliminated Sporting and therefore the task was very complicated for the Portuguese representative still in the race. However, the generation of Diogos was in great and counted on several heroes to overcome the formation of Austria.

The home team got the better start and Diogo Bessa took the lead in the first half, finishing in the area a collective move.

Then, Koita equalized in the second half, which was justified by the ascendant of his team.  Goalkeeper Diogo Costa, who was doing several excellent interventions, was unlucky on the pitch, as the ball went to the post and then hit him on the back to enter the goal.

However, nothing meant disbelief to the little dragons. Central midfielder Diogo Leite stepped up and gave his side another lead, a quarter of an hour from the end.

And, before the final attempt by the outsiders, Fidelis made an extraordinary goal in a shot from outside the area, ending the doubts about the winner of the game.

Next to Tottenham, who beat Monaco (he was from the FC Porto group) in the quarter-finals game.
