Benfica president Luís Filipe Vieira has promised to the shareholders in General Assembly that he will try to hire one of the players who rescinded a contract with Sporting.


"This year I'm going to do a little crazy that maybe I should not do. But I will. It does not matter if it's Bruno, whether it's Antonio or Joaquim. Twenty-five years ago they played with us and now they do not play anymore, "he shot, eliciting huge applause from the audience.

Vieira referred to the hot summer of 1993 when Paulo Sousa and Pacheco rescinded with Benfica and then signed for Sporting, chaired by Sousa Cintra.

The possible targets of Benfica will be Bruno Fernandes and Gelson Martins, as you can read in this Tuesday's edition of A BOLA.
