It's done! The female soccer team of Sport Lisboa e Benfica wins the first edition of the League Cup, after defeating SC Braga, 3-0, at the Municipal Stadium of Aveiro.
This was the first edition of the competition, which brought the top four classified in the National Championship face to face in January 2020. In this group of four teams (SL Benfica, Sporting, SC Braga and Clube Futebol Benfica), all had to play three games .
To reach the final (whose realization the pandemic "postponed" for many months ...), Benfica drew with Sporting (2-2) and passed SC Braga (1-3) and Clube Futebol Benfica (4-0 ). The Minho women won 0-3 against Sporting and 4-0 against Clube Futebol Benfica and lost against SL Benfica.
