For the first time in the history of the competition, Portugal beat Slovenia (82-74) this Friday in Almada and rose to 1st place in Group A of the Eurobasket'2025 qualifying round, a series that determines the top three. Slovenia, which only had Luka Doncic and Vlatko Cancar - both in the NBA - among its main stars, is a powerhouse in the sport and was European champion in 2017. Portugal, it should be remembered, will also be without Neemias Queta and Ruben Prey.
