Fernando Ferreira, 19-year-old striker for Rio Ave's under-23s, is leaving the Vilacondense club to join Charlotte FC, in the MLS (USA), on loan with an option to buy.

In Vila do Conde since under-13, Fernando - better known as Ferna - was the captain of the Rio Ave team in the Liga Revelação and is preparing for his first experience abroad. This season, the young striker scored three goals and one assist in 15 matches played.
