The Portuguese Davis Cup team arrived this Tuesday in the Principality of Monaco to compete in the World Group qualifying round, which will be played on Saturday and Sunday on one of the secondary courts of the magnificent Monte-Carlo Country Club.
Captain Rui Machado has a team with maximum strength: Nuno Borges (37th ATP), Jaime Faria (109th), Henrique Rocha (161st), Frederico Silva (286th), the four best Portuguese tennis players today, and also Francisco Cabral (59th doubles), national number one in doubles. For Monaco, singles players Valentin Vacherot (201st) and Lucas Catarina (1312th) play, as well as doubles specialists (and very good players) Hugo Nys (25th) and Romain Arneodo (71st).
