Samuel Barata, a Benfica athlete, came 9th in the Rotterdam Marathon on Sunday, April 13, and achieved the best Portuguese mark of the year so far.

With a time of 2:09.45 minutes, the Benfica player achieved his 2nd best mark of all time – he has 2:07.35 minutes as his personal best – and improved his classification in European marathons.
