After winning the Silver League in 2024, which resulted in promotion to the Golden League, the Portuguese team will make its debut in Tournament 4, taking place in Sweden, against the host team and Romania.

"Anyone who is in charge of a national team must always think about ambitious goals. But we have to be aware that this is a competition we haven't been in for a long time. We had a presence [in 2018], which was not a happy one, and what we want above all is to continue competing at this level", says the coach.

Portugal starts Tournament 4 of the Golden League on Thursday against the host Sweden, in Idrottshuset Orebro, at 4 pm (3 pm in Lisbon), and faces Romania on Friday, at 6 pm (5 pm).
