One month from the start of the Tour de France, Chris Froome left a serious warning to the main rivals to win the Dauphiné Libéré, finishing the last stage second behind Italian Alessandro De Marchi (Pro Cycling).
De Marchi crossed the finish line with a time of isolated 4:28:09 hours after 155.5 kilometers between Sisteron and Risoul, with 24 seconds ahead of Froome who arrived with the American Andrew Talansky (Garmin-Sharp).
In general, the British ended with the total time of 29:28:46 hours and an advantage of 58 seconds for the second-placed Austrian Richie Porte (Sky Procycling), fourth at last taken at 31 seconds of the winner.
Sergio Paulinho (Team Saxo), 39. º in the last step, was 25. º 24.14 minutes in general the first place, José Mendes (NetApp-Endura) was 70. º and finished the race in 49. º to 47:13 of Froome.
