Benfica won Sunday for the first time, the women's hockey skates European Cup, beating in the final the French team of Coutras, 5-2, in a match played in Manlleu, Spain.
Marlene Sousa (4) and Sofia Vicente pointed out the goals of the team's victory led by Paulo Almeida, who arrived at the break to win 4-1.
Adeline Leborgne scored both goals of Coutras, the first penalty.
Benfica became the first non-Spanish team to win the European Cup, in nine editions
