Keaton Parks, B-team midfielder, joins coach Rui Vitória's squad for Saturday's match against V. Setúbal, who will be counting for the Portuguese Cup's fourth round.
The 20-year-old youngster, who has been hired at zero cost last summer, has been training in the last weeks with the main team at the Seixal internship center. Keaton Parks took advantage of the absences of several players who were in the national teams and ended up convincing the coach to give him an opportunity to join the 'elite' in this match.
In Portuguese football since 2015, the year he traded the Liverpool Warriors for Varzim, Parks is now looking for the chance to play the first minutes with Benfica's main shirt. In the second league, the American was used by Hélder Cristóvão in 11 matches, scoring two goals.
