Clara Silva, as she is known in Portugal, or Clara Vieitas, as she is known in Spain. Whatever the nickname chosen, we are talking about a young Portuguese center, only 16 years old, with a lot of potential, who caught the attention of several specialists in the world of basketball last weekend, having even deserved an article in the renowned Spanish magazine Gigantes. The well-deserved media coverage came after the young center was named MVP of the 17th round of Liga Femenina 2, the third senior tier of Spanish women's basketball. In 26 minutes, Clara Silva scored 26 points (9/14 LC and 8/13 LL), eight rebounds and even converted the free throw that earned Unicaja the victory against BF León (80-81). The numbers earned him a valuation of 33, the most of the entire day and an impressive feat.

Born in Faro, Clara Sofia Vieitas Ferreira da Silva was born on May 31, 2006 and is part of a family of basketball players – her brother Hugo Silva plays in the United States and her parents, Valter Silva and Sofia Vieitas, were also players. She started playing for Farense, in 2012, and continued there until 2018, the year she moved to Imortal. In 2019/20, she headed to Spain to join Unicaja's youth team, being part of the senior team since 2020/21.
