Attacking midfielder David Pereira da Costa was officially announced this Monday as a reinforcement for Major League Soccer's Portland Timbers. Born in Almada, Portugal the 24-year-old creative has spent his entire career in French football, more specifically with Lens, the club he has always represented.

Now swap Ligue 1 for MLS, in a transfer that will have yielded 5.70 million euros for the French team. Pereira da Costa signed a contract until 2028, with the option for an additional year.
