"The football department of Sport Club do Recife officially announces the permanent signing of Portuguese midfielder Sérgio Oliveira. The player, who played last season for Olympiacos, in Greece, signed a contract with Leão until December 2026", says the club's statement. Trained at FC Porto, for which he debuted in the first team in 2009/10, Sérgio Oliveira also played for, among others, Roma, Nantes, Galatasaray, PAOK and Olympiacos, where he had played just seven minutes this season. Last season, playing for the Greeks, the Portuguese international won the Europa Conference League, a trophy that he added to three Portuguese First Leagues, three Portuguese Cups, two Portuguese Super Cups, two Turkish Leagues, one Greek League and one Greek Cup.
