Portugal participates, between Thursday, 9th, and Sunday, August 12, the UEFA European Under-23 Road to and juniors, who will compete in the Dutch province of Zeeland. The national selector, Joseph Dust, called 12 runners for this appointment.
The National Selection / Liberty Insurance sub-23 is composed of Fábio Silvestre (Leopard-Trek), Daniel Freitas (EFAPEL-Glassdrive), Rafael Reis (Caja Rural), Anthony Barbio (Mortágua), Samuel Magellan (ASC / KTM / Victoria ), Pedro and Rafael Silva Paulinho (Liberty Seguros / Fair / Specialized).
The seven cyclists will compete in the background, 172 kilometers to compete on Sunday. Fábio Silvestre ( pictured ), Rafael and Pedro Reis Paulinho also run the time trial, 24.9 miles to meet on Friday.
In the junior category, Portugal will be represented by André Bessa (CC Loulé / Credit Agricole), Caesar Martingil (CC José Maria Nicolau / Cartaxo), John Silva (Belalgas Cosmetics / Mato Cheirinhos), Luis Gomes (Smith & Vine / ADRAP / Feel Penafiel) and Ricardo Teixeira (Liberty Seguros / Fair / Specialized). The quintet will bring in 129 kilometers of the race, background, on Saturday. John Smith and Andrew Bessa also run the time trial of 24.9 kilometers, on Thursday.
