Benfica's men's swimming team was crowned national club champion by winning the National Championship, which ended this Friday, April 7, at Jamor, in Oeiras. The eagles won their 6th national title, after an interregnum of 30 years (1993/94).

After, a year ago, having led Sporting's men's team to an unprecedented ninth consecutive title in the National Swimming Clubs and having added to that the success of also snatching the scepter in the women's sector - a double that only happened for the fourth time and only three clubs were capable of achieving it -, coach Carlos Cruchinho knows that it will not be easy to repeat the feat and that Benfica will be the great rivals in the 43rd edition of the championship which, between today (9.30h and 16.30h) and tomorrow (9h and 4pm), will be decided at the Jamor swimming pool, in Oeiras
