#WinterOlympics2026 #Portugal Emeric Guerillot 18 yrs old finished 32nd in #SuperG best performance ever by a Portuguese

Rookie Emeric Guerillot equaled the best performance ever by a Portuguese athlete in alpine skiing at the Winter Olympics on Wednesday, finishing 32nd in the Super G at Milan-Cortina 2026.

In his Olympic debut, 18-year-old Emeric Guerillot completed the descent at the Stelvio ski resort in 1 minute 31.43 seconds, matching Georges Mendes' 32nd place in the slalom at Lillehammer 1994.

Emeric Guerillot was only the second Portuguese athlete to participate in the Super G, after Georges Mendes, who did not finish the descent at Lillehammer 1994.

Swiss athlete Franjo van Allmen is beginning to establish himself as one of the leading figures of Milan-Cortina 2026, after winning his third title, adding the Super G to his downhill and team combined titles.

Emeric Guerillot will also compete in the giant slalom (February 14) and the slalom (February 16), with his sister Vanina Guerillot participating in the giant slalom (February 15) and the slalom (February 17), while José Cabeça will run the 10 km freestyle cross-country skiing race (February 13)
