Six players from Sport Lisboa e Benfica's youth academy are part of the squad called up for the Under-16 National Team that will compete in the Montaigu Tournament in France.
Benjamim Semedo, Gonçalo Silva, Guilherme Castro, Martim Gomes, Simão Lopes and Tomás Pedrosa are part of a group that will begin training at the Cidade do Futebol (City of Football) between March 27 and 29.
Subsequently, the Portuguese team has matches against Mexico (March 31, in Fontenay Le Comte), Japan (April 2, in Pouzauges) and Peru (April 4, in Pouzauges). The final match of the competition is scheduled for the 6th against an opponent that will be determined based on the classification in Group 2 of the tournament.
