Pedro Henrique reached the final of the event, winning the third place. This situation allowed the national surfing team, headed by David Raimundo, to conquer (and renew) the brilliant title of Vice World Surf Champion. In the men's competition the winner was Mexican Jhony Corzo (14.50 points), followed by Frenchman Joan Duru (13.90 points), Pedro Henrique (12.47 points) and Spanish Jonathan Gonzalez (11.74 points) .

The day after being featured in another Benfica conquest, Raúl Jiménez set off for his country and left the return door open.

"I'm very happy, but first I still have the national team. I want to make a good Confederations Cup and come back strong for the pre-season, "said the Mexican forward, who will face a scheduled clash with Portugal on June 18:
